Paris is without any doubt a paradise for anyone who loves taking pictures. You can spend the rest of your days in this lovely, romantic city and still have insufficient pictures to catch its many-faceted heart. It has probably been written about by more writers, painted by more painters and photographed by more photographers than any other world city. Your Paris pictures will no doubt be admired by friends and colleagues.
It’s easy to understand why this is so. Paris has something to offer everyone. From the unmistakable beauty of the river Seine to the glitter of the Champs Elysees; from the awe-inspiring Eiffel Tour to the breath taking beauty of the Notre Dame; and from the treasures of the Louvre to the zest for life of Euro Disney, there is something that will excite a photographer no matter what his interests are.
Take the Eiffel Tower as an example. No matter how many pictures of this Paris landmark you have already seen, you just can’t stop yourself from photographing it again. Perhaps just from another angle, or from closer up or when the sun goes down.
The glass pyramid in front of the Louvre is another example of how their sense of architectural adventure makes them think out of the box. They often create something that is not beautiful when you see it the first time, but it grows on you over the years. This, it can be said, requires true genius.
No matter how much time you spend in Paris, you will probably never be able to take pictures of all its architectural wonders. There are just so many painstakingly restored historical buildings of breathtaking beauty. If you love architecture, you will no doubt just want wander the streets day after day and take pictures of the thousands of stunning doorways, windows, balconies and roofs.
Paris pictures are not only about tourist attractions and beautiful old buildings though: It’s the people of Paris that really makes this city unique. Never leave Paris without at least a few pictures of the many students dreaming, arguing and planning their lives at the sidewalk cafes, housewives negotiating at the markets or artists busy with their next masterpieces in the Latin Quarter. If time is limited, just spend a few hours siting at a sidewalk cafe and take pictures of life in all its forms as it passes by in this beguiling city.
