Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal. This city is rich in culture and the art and you will find that it has a lot to offer to the many tourists that enter its walls. You will find a lot of monuments, colourful streets, heritage towers and wide squares. Lisbon sights are also not limited to the infrastructures but also to the many festivities that it holds in its squares.
The city itself is a sight to see. You will find a mix of ancient quarters, cobblestones, hilltops, miradouro, tiled facades combined in to a classical and contemporary piece. Exploring the city makes a pleasant experience. The architectural styles are quite elaborate as displayed by the Manueline of the Belem and the Pombalie located downtown.
Lisbon has a lot of castles and one which will reward you with an amazing sight is the Castelo de Sao Jorge. This castle is located above a steep hill which you will have to climb. Once you reach the castle you will be rewarded with a breath taking sight: the Old town of Lisbon, Tejo-Bay, 24th April Bridge, Christ the King Statue and the ocean can be seen at one glance. There are books which also display this sight but the experience is not quite rewarding compared to seeing it firsthand.

It has two massive towers which make it stand out. It has no entrance fee but if you visit the old convent and museum you will be asked t pay a small amount.
You will also want to visit the Elevator Santa Justa where you can get a breath taking tour of Lisbon sights.
