A Cursory Insight Into Oriental Fireball Dragon Character

Throughout Chinese history the dragon has been produced in various mediums of art. One of the more interesting is that of the Chinese Fireball Dragon. This dragon is exclusive to the people of China and also is recognized by the name Liondragon.

The fireball dragon is different from the ordinary dragon known as Long dragon. This version of the dragon sports a scarlet color and the scales on its body are rater smooth. Around the face of the fireball dragon are golden spikes which are reminiscent of a lion’s mane.

The snout of the fireball dragon is stubby and it is designed in such a manner that it has large protruding eyes. The nose of the fireball dragon is seen releasing a mushroom shaped flame and this is where the dragon gets its name from. It releases the flame when it is provoked and gets angry.

Legend has it that the female Fireball dragons produce eggs that are a cherry red with brilliant golden dots sprinkled about the outer shell of the egg. These females are also known to be much bigger than their male counterparts.

Folklore passed down through the ages recites how the female egg shells were much desired by sorcerers in ancient times. It also includes an account of the dragon’s diet of any warm bloodied creatures, which astonishingly included humans as well.

In general dragons are known not to get along with each other. The fireball atadragon however gets along just fine with other members of its own kind. They work together on the basis of mutual consent and you may very well find them sharing their territory with others in mutual friendship.

Although the Chinese fireball dragon is an ancient mythological creature from the Chinese culture it has managed to receive new found glory today. The reason behind this is its appearance in the novel turned box office hit movie flick of the stories of Harry Potter.

The series of books written by J.K Rowling was turned into a movie which made it very big all across the globe. The books itself feature the dragon and it was depicted in the movie version as well. This has resulted in the world not only learning about this ancient element of Chinese culture but many children have become fascinated by the fireball dragon.

It is this curiosity and interest in the Fireball dragon that has given it new life. Today the Fireball dragon can be found and attained in almost any form, bringing a new influx of revenue to the Chinese. Undoubtedly, because of the worldwide recognition that has fallen upon this dragon, it will be recognizable for many more years to come.
